About Me
It all started in 1997. As a writer for my high school’s newspaper, I got to pen a short review of the music video for Natalie Imbruglia’s hit single “Torn.” However many years later, I still love writing, and I still love Natalie Imbruglia.
Since graduating with a degree in communications from the University of Southern California, my love for words and knack for being able to put them together in fun ways has landed me gigs working as a copy editor and writer for the Recording Academy (the organization behind the annual GRAMMY Awards), and then as a publicist for the GRAMMY Museum and Scoop Marketing. At the GRAMMY Museum, I led PR and communications efforts to successfully promote over 35 exhibits, more than 280 public programs, and over a dozen special events, including showcases and panels at South by Southwest and concerts at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Arts in Washington, D.C. While at Scoop Marketing, I worked on PR campaigns for Agua Caliente Casino and the grand opening of Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles.
After my stint in PR, I went back to my first love—writing—and pursued a freelance career before landing a gig as a creative writer for Guitar Center. I currently work as a copywriter for Live Nation, while still moonlighting as a freelance music journalist. I’ve interviewed artists including Kiefer Sutherland, Salvador Santana, Asdru Sierra of Ozomatli, Peter Frampton, Soraia, and lots of others.
When I’m not writing, you can find me traveling, at a concert, searching for the best street tacos in L.A., or hanging out with my cat, Phoebe.
